Jones wins the Blankers AC match

GOOLE'S Steve Jones pole fished casters to win the Blankers AC match at Staddlethorpe last Friday.
Fishing from peg 19 he had a catch of skimmers and perch which weighed in at 12-4-0.

Best of the rest - 2. Steve Hoyle, Goole, 9-15-0; 3. Dave Burnitt, Goole, 9-11-0; 4. Bruce Gaughan, Goole, 8-6-0.

In the FTD AC match at West Cowick, also on Friday, Snaith's Jonny Marshall alternated baits on feeder from peg 24 to win with a catch of carp and bream weighing 24-14-0.

Runners up - 2. Barry Rudge, Goole, 7-9-0; 3. Kirk Rudge, Goole, 6-15-0; 4. Rob Fryer, Notts, 5-11-0; = 5. Pete Riley, Notts and Andy Waters, Goole, 4-7-0.

FTD AC will be running the first club match of 2008 at Staddlethorpe this Sunday, March 30, draw 9.30am in the car park. Members and riders can book on 01405 767614.
