NEWPORT won last Tuesday's Triad Howden Evening League Eastern Division match against HICE by five wickets.
In to bat first HICE were 118 all out with high scoring contributions from G Van Es (35) and D Barker (21).
In reply Newport made 122 for 5 with the best batsmen being J Chapman (29), M Ogram (23), and C Wilson (22). Bowler G Van Es took 4 for 22.
In the other Eastern Division game Welton and Brough beat South Cave by seven wickets to take four points.
South Cave scored 69 all out with best batting from P Greene with 19 runs. Bowler M Glew took 4 for 7.
Welton and Brough replied with 71 for 3 (T Gray 31, J Beaton 25; R Johnson 2 for 14).
Eastrington took four points in their Western Division game over North Duffield after winning by 74 runs.
In to bat first, Eastrington made 133 for 6. Top batting contributions came from C Kitching (36), N Reed (32), and S Chatham (27).
North Duffield bowler C Patrick made 2 for 41.
The batting display saw North Duffield 59 all out with the best runs from S Smith (13). Bowler G Laverack took 7 for 27.
Hemingbrough took the four points with an 82 run victory over PASS.
In their 140 for 8 batsmen T Collins made 38 and J Dougherty (27).
Bowlers Mann took 4 for 33 and Veal 3 for 24.
PASS were 58 all out with bowlers R Noble taking 3 for 15 and G Crouch 3 for 9.
Selby won the Inter-Division game by 24 runs to take the four points.
In to bat first, Selby knocked out 144 for 5 with top scores from G Moore (44) and M Smales (38). Bowler K Youngman took 3 for 34.
North Cave replied with 120 for 8 (J Ferguson 65; J Cruise 4 for 13).
