TRIAD Howden Evening League action took place in the Mortimer Cup Preliminary Round last Tuesday (May 19).
North Cave beat PASS by nine wickets to face South Cave in the first round.
Batting first, PASS made 163 for 6 with top batsmen being D Sharp (64) and P Marshall (54). Top bowler T Baxter took 4 for 20.
North Cave made 168 for 1 with J Ferguson (78*), R Moore (59*) and R Page (21).
Rain hit play in the Eastrington v HICE match, with no result recorded.
Fixtures for June 2 are: Newport v North Cave; Eastrington v Selby; HICE v South Cave; North Duffield v PASS; Hemingbrough v Welton & Brough.
