BOWLERS swing into action for the outdoor flat green bowling season.
Over the next 18 weeks, 93 league teams will compete in ten leagues run by the Goole and District Bowling Association playing a total of 774 matches.

In the Goole and District cup competitions 290 matches will be played, with the finals played at Fishlake on Saturday August 30.

There are 12 clubs locally with about 600 players taking part in the Goole and District competitions which start at 6.45pm.

Each club has their own local competitions and social bowling events, with everyone made to feel welcome.

Anyone who fancies giving it a try should approach the local club where someone will be on hand to introduce them to the sport - all ages are welcome.
