A HIGHLY entertaining game saw Swinefleet dominate for most of the match against their local rivals.
Early chances were created by Swinefleet in the first 20 minutes with Joe Holt going the closest on 12 and 18 minutes.
A quality free-kick on 24
minutes gave the visitors a lead against the run of play but Swinefleet responded on 29 minutes with Andrew Severn following in on Jimmy Wattam's 25-yard shot that was too hot for the Crowle 'keeper to handle.
Crowle regained the lead on 41 minutes with a gift of a goal after the opposition had not cleared their lines.
The second half dismissal of the influential Wattam on 54 minutes gave Swinefleet a harder task.
The ten man team took the match to Crowle and were rewarded with a penalty converted by Josh Hewson on 77 minutes.
The killer blow for Swinefleet came on 84 minutes with another well-struck free-kick hitting the post and rebounding to a Crowle player to score from four yards out.
Next week the second team are again at home against Epworth Colts. Players to meet at South Park at 2.15 pm.
The first team cup semi-final was again called off at short notice by the Goole and Thorne FA.
