CARLTON Holy Family Catholic School is celebrating a number of its pupils receiving England or Great Britain recognition.
Despite only having a small number of students, a total of five have reached national standard.
The fab five are gymnast Josh Borom (16), taekwondo competitor Kirsty Louise Toone (14), snowboarder James Smith (15), rugby player Katie Dale (14) and gymnast Jared Netherwood (16).
Aileen Hunt, PE teacher and school sport coordinator, said: "We have a school population of 444, yet five have England or Great British recognition.
"They work religiously with enthusiasm and dedication. I am very proud of them all."
Kirsty has won eight taekwondo competition gold medals since 2006, as well as three silver and one bronze medal.
"My greatest achievements so far are becoming British Champion last December and being awarded best junior female player by the chief ref at the Top Dog Championship in May this year," she said.
"My main goal is to represent Great Britain at the 2012 Olympics, in the meantime, I intend to continue fighting and winning both in the UK and Europe at every opportunity.
"I would love to secure a sponsorship deal to enable me to reach my full potential."
She will be defending her British title in September and competing in Germany in December, while also hoping to train with the British Junior squad in Manchester.
Currently she trains three times a week in Goole and Doncaster plus endurance training every other weekend, competing about twice a month.
Jared became involved in gymnastics eight years ago and has been competing for seven, including four times in the British Teamgym Championships, the latest in April when he finished second, just 0.55 behind the winners.
He said: "Twice when we won the British back in 2005 and 2006 we went over to Norway and competed internationally which was an amazing experience."
He is also a qualified Teamgym judge in the northern region and has officiated as far as Edinburgh, but at the moment he is building up his general gymnastics coaching skills to take into his exam next month.
Aileen added: "I try to encourage as many young people to become involved in sport.
"We have many of our pupils taking part in activities such as golf, dance, tennis, orienteering, as well as the more conventional sport.
"My brief is also to promote and develop the skills of the gifted and talented."
