Goole Town II 141-7
Londesborough Park II 145-6
GOOLE Town Seconds lost their opening match of the season despite Nicky Holah's best efforts with the ball.

Londesborough won the toss and decided to bowl first, restricting Goole to 141-7 off their 45 allocated overs, with D Moody taking three wickets for 24 runs.

Top scorers were Eddie Oliver who opened the batting with 30, Steve Foster with 28 and captain Barry Clements with 25, while youngster Ben Earl (15) scored 14 not out.

But in reply despite Goole's bowlers working well they could not stop Londesborough reaching the total, with D Sharpe hitting 32 to help his team win by four wickets.

The pick of Goole's attack was Holah who finished with figures of 3-33 off nine overs.

James Kerr took 1-46-10, Andy Rodgers, 1-16-10 and Jake Mahoney (16), 1-1-1.

Goole's next match is away to Huntington Ist XI on Saturday.
