GOOLE Judo Club's Connor Potts gained a silver medal in a competition at the weekend.
The 12-year-old, who competes in the under 30 kilos category, travelled to London to take part in the Kent International at Crystal Palace.

There were seven mat areas in use with hundreds of competitors.

Connor won his first fight on a throw, throwing his opponent that hard he knocked him out.

His second fight was won on a hold, and the semi final was won again on a big throw.

In the final, Connor fought a Lithuanian and was winning the fight until near the end when he went in to finish the contest off but got countered. He came away with the silver medal.
