YOUNG swimmers from Goole made waves in the world of fundraising recently.
Six-year-olds Heather Hornshaw and Jenna Johnson, who both attend Parkside Primary School in Goole, had been talking about helping people when they read an article in the Courier about taking part in the NSPCC Big Splash.

This event asks generous swimmers to take part in a sponsored event for the children's charity.

Both girls only started swimming lessons last year but decided they would like to take part and they managed to complete two lengths at the Goole Leisure Centre pool and raised £130.

Mum Kathryn Hornshaw said: "We are very proud of their achievement."
