GOOLE Town Tigers under nines entered two teams in a recent tournament at West Park.
The squads were of equal ability and in the knockout stages it was thought that as both were playing so well the y may meet in the final.

Unfortunately team A lost a couple of matches only by one goal so didn't make the knockouts. Team B however won all, with the exception of two draws. In one of these matches they trailed 3-0 and dug in deep to pull back to 3-3 at the final whistle.

Their semi final against the Discovery team was so close and finished 1-1 so was decided on penalties

The Tigers went on to win the shoot out and met Stainforth who beat Thorne in the other semi.

The final was a nail biting affair and finished a no score draw.

Stainforth had a superb keeper and it was feared they may easily win the final shoot out. The Goole lads were a real credit and all kept their cool and were victorious and finished overall winners.
