HOOK rider Adam Child was back to winning ways at Elvington, near York, at the weekend on board his Ken Urwin motorcycles sponsored GSXR600.
Adam, or Chad as he is better known, was once again battling in the 600 clubman championship with the Auto 66 Club.

The first 600 race saw him battle from the back of the grid to first place, taking the leader with just two corners to go, in a ver
y close and exciting race.

In race two Chad led from the front and crossed the line with a comfortable lead on his Ken Urwin sponsored Suzuki.

Later in the day, Chad entered the 1000cc Senior race despite only having a 600cc bike and obviously lacking in power. However despite this, and huge difference in straight line performance the local rider fought hard to take two second places.

He told the Courier: "I always seem to go well at Elvington, and I'm obviously chuffed with the results.

"I was on the limit against the 1000cc bikes, but loved the racing. It's boosted my confidence which should give me the confidence to push in the support race for Moto GP this coming weekend at Donnington.

"My brother worked on the bike, fixed the problems from the last round so I have to give him a big thank you along with my sponsor Ken Urwin motorcycles and Chris who helped out on the day."
