GOOLE'S most travelled football club - formerly AFC Charter - are on the move again.
Formed in 1991, under the name the Peacock Young Boys playing in the Selby League, the team under the wing of secretary Mark Lockwood and manager Dave Munday will now set up base at the Goods Office following a recent meeting between the players and
the venue's owners.
The club, which will now be known as Goole Goods Office AFC and play in the East Riding County Premier League, this week thanked the Charter staff and Pete Finch at Classic Cleaners for the past two year's support.
The recent presentation night was a success with blue comedian Jack The lad entertaining the crowd.
Trophies were awarded as follows - Rob Constable picked up Player's Player Of the Year, Top Goalscorer and Most Refs Man of the Matches.
Neil Harrison received the Most Managers Man of the Matches; Jason Gibbon - Player's Player runner up; Gary Hoare - Managers Player runner up; Mark Lockwood - Manager's Player; Stuart Franks - Most Improved.
The club have organised an outing to York Races on Saturday July 12, anyone wanting to go should contact Darren Ramskill or Mark Lockwood. Bus picks up at Wethers-poon at 10am, it is £10 a seat with free cash prize raffle on bus.
