BRIAN Flynn says it is now time to draw a line under Rovers’ recent blip and enjoy the moment after they assumed leadership of League One for the first time this season.
The dramatic 2-1 win over 10-man Shrewsbury – coupled with defeats and draws for promotion rivals – allowed Rovers to take an outright lead at the top and end their five match winless run.
“Results have gone our way but we’ve played our part in staying in the right position,” Flynn said.
“The progress we’ve made in these last few games has been superb and it all came to a head. You’ve got to remember we’re four unbeaten now.
“There’s still work to be done. We need to be more clinical, but some of our play was excellent.
“We had some nice link-up play in the second half against Yeovil but the lads were even better in the first half last night.
“We’ve got a very difficult month ahead with Tuesday-Saturday games, but we’re in a very good position. It’s time for us to enjoy this moment.”
Midfielder Lee Fowler has joined Blue Square Premier side Forest Green Rovers on a month’s loan.
