Four-goal Howe sparkles as Tavern tighten grip on second place
CANAL Tavern strengthened their grip on second spot in the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League Premier Division with a 7-0 win at mid-table Corner Pin.
Darren Howe led the way with a four-goal haul with Darren Fell (2) and Darren Brown also netting.
Fourth-placed Bullcroft Sports & Pastimes (Brendan Thompson), were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Dunscroft, the team immediately below them.

Three Horseshoes Old Boys posted a 4-0 win over Division Two win over Hatfield Woodhouse. Lowly Armthorpe Village eased their relegation fears with a 5-3 win at Carcroft Village - Dean Wilson, Shane Carver and Lee Knight sharing out the Village goals.
