Hockey draw at Hallam
Sheffield Hallam.............................. 1
Selby RSSC Ladies........................... 1
After falling behind in an otherwise even first half of a great game at Sheffield’s Hallam University, the Selby ladies’ hockey team came back strongly to equalise with a top-D reverse strike from Sara Coverdale, writes Charlotte Lidstone-Scott.
Both sides created fine chances with the visitors building their attack up well from defence and, after a half-time team talk, the Selby girls regrouped and put one past the home keeper.
Player of the match Angie O’Mahoney ensured her side remained strong at the back. Selby entertain Harrogate at their Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick, base on Saturday at 3pm when all supporters will be welcome.
