Howden enjoy comfortable win

SAM Watson eventually opened the scoring for Town but Pontefract soon pulled back level against the run of play despite goalkeeper Charlie Brook's excellent attempt to save it. As half-time approached, Robson Jones scored to put Town in front at the break.
The second half was all Howden Town with Haydn Rigby and Robson Jones dominating the midfield. Jamie Bray worked very hard for the team resulting in him scoring following a good move. Tom Phillips showed his class when coming forward with the ball at his feet making numerous passes behind the Pontefract defence. Defender Ben Wheldrake added some steel to the Howden side winning lots of challenges in defence and midfield.
Town went on to win the game comfortably with further goals coming from Haydn Rigby, Robson Jones scored his second and Sam Watson scored two more to complete his hat-trick.

THE Howden lads again produced a good performance. Alex Zachariou was all over the pitch taking on the home side every chance he got. Jamie Bray again played well scoring twice in the game. Jay Tucker thoroughly deserved his goal after working hard throughout the game using the ball well when in possession.
Town defenders Anthony Priestley and Bentley Abbey produced some of their best play so far this season. James Fletcher, Haydn Rigby and Robson Jones completed the scoring for a well deserved win.
