Andy Murray’s sizzling summer success has turned the courts at Bubwith Tennis Club into a cauldron of activity among their junior members.

And as a result of the increased interest, the club are now offering a tie-break competition for juniors on Wednesday evenings following the junior coaching sessions from 6 to 7pm.

“We feel Murray’s success has resulted in a boost, especially for the junior players,” said club spokeswoman Lizanne Southworth.

The results of the competition will then be recorded for the Lawn Tennis Association so their British tennis ranking can be updated regularly.

“These competitions are free and open to under-18s,” she explained.
