HEMINGBROUGH United marked the unveiling of their new strips with a thumping of Amotherby and Swinton.
United unveiled their black and red striped kit, complete with main sponsors Hemingborough’s H.F.B Heating, as they cruised past their York Minster Engineering League Division One rivals.
A solid first-half performance from Boro saw the side see off a strong Amotherby outfit in what was a must-win league tie for the hosts.
Fast, flowing football from the first whistle saw Boro take an early lead when an intricate move ended with Jamie Wheeler finishing well from an inch-perfect Jon Collard pass.
Just moments later Boro notched their second of the game with goalscorer Wheeler turning provider at School Road.

The home side’s marksman found an unchallenged Craig Haythorne at the far post who volleyed home from a tight angle, giving the visitor’s keeper little chance to keep out the danger.
Despite their comfortable lead, Boro might have been guilty of letting a few chances slip by to kill off the tie with just 30 minutes played, when Jonny Wileman missed from three yards out and Collard opted to pass rather than shoot from a good position.
However, Boro did make a chance count three minutes before the interval when a teasing Luke Zacharenko corner found the head of midfielder Haythorne who was again unmarked in the box to make it 3-0.
Boro found themselves defending for much of the second-half as Amotherby attempted to claw their way back into a match seemingley slipping from their grasps.
Despite the away side’s pressure, it was United who found the net in the dying minutes when a quick counter released Tom Collins who coolly finished, adding another goal to his already impressive record this season.
Boro could have even made it five or six through Andrew Davies and Guy May chances before coming away with a comfortable victory.
The man of the match was awarded to Boro’s Darryl Tate for his tireless efforts in the middle of the park.
