South Cave secure four points
SOUTH Cave secured four points after winning their latest Triad Howden Evening League Eastern Division match by 33 runs.
Batsmen Mountfield (45) and Davies (35) contributed to the 133 for 6 with bowler J Todd taking 3 for 39.
In reply Newport scored 100 for 5 (R Lamb 32, D Smith 27; Gorbutt 2 for 12).
In the other Eastern Division game, Welton and Brough won by 33 runs over North Cave to take four points.
Welton and Brough made 162 for 7 (B Price 42, B Watkin 37, T Gray 25; R Tomlinson 3 for 30).
North Cave's response was 129 for 6 (R Page 39, C Cockin 30; R Davis 2 for 25).
In the Western Division, Eastrington secured four points with a 16-run victory over PASS.
Eastrington made 164 for 5 (S Coleman, A Gibbins 25, M Spetch 20; D Sharpe 3 for 40).
PASS replied with 148 for 8 (P Marshall 38, J Coyne 20; A Gibbins 3 for 21, M Holmes 2 for 29)
It was a tied match between Hemingbrough and Selby.
Hemingbrough scored 109 for 9 (J Jackson 34, M Milburn 21; Romaniuw 2 for 23, Clarke 2 for 4).
And Selby 109 all out (M Smales 46, Wilson 30; J Jackson 4 for 21, M Clark 4 for 16).
HICE won the Inter-Division Game by 85 runs.Batting first HICE scored 171 for 7 (A Kingston 50, D Barker 39, J Forrester 25*; R Moore 2 for 38, J Patrick 2 for 38).
North Duffield 86 for 5 (J Patrick 28; D Kemp 2 for 2)
Eastrington face Selby in the semi-finals of the Mortimer Cup after beating North Duffield by 47 runs.
Eastrington put on 174 for 2 (S Coleman 64, A Gibbins 45, M Holmes 42).
North Duffield 127 for 4 (T Britain 51, J Knibb 36; G Laverack 3 for 25).
