Take part in triathlon
ATHLETES and those who fancy a challenge are invited to compete in this year's summer triathlon and raise money for a worthy cause too.
The event takes place on Sunday August 16 from 11am and will consist of a 700m open water swim, a nine mile cycle and a 2.2 mile run. It begins with the swim at Loftsome Bridge with competitors eventually finishing at Westfield Banks Sports Complex.
Spaces are limited to 100 competitors and anyone from novices to experienced participants are welcome. Closing date for applications is August 8 and the entry fee is 20.
This year the triathlon is being held for the epilepsy bereavement charity in memory of Leighton Earl from Goole.
