Tavern trophies

Selby & District Pool League doubles winners Dean Priestley & Shaun Sullivan of the Market Tavern.

Hosts Market Tavern were the first division winners – beating the victors of the previous two seasons British Legion – when the trophies were handed out at the Selby & District Pool League finals night.

The evening was attended by 22 teams from the two divisions and the highest break competition was won by Pete Bibby.

The major trophies were shared by the top two teams with Legion beating the Tavern in the four-man final.

The Tavern also won the Ivan Hanson nine-man event and the pub’s Dean Priestley and Shaun Sullivan (pictured) won the doubles, with Dean losing to Chris Collier of the Malt Shovel in the singles final. Second division winners were the Three Swans.
